Who can we help? Any woman with or without children, experiencing domestic violence.
What can you expect?
Confidentiality
Anything that you tell us is confidential. There may be exceptional circumstances where we may need to share information. We would always seek your permission to do this.
Sensitivity All our workers are trained in dealing with all aspects of domestic violence and you can expect to be treated fairly and non-judgmentally.
Care and Support You will have the opportunity to discuss your situation fully and be given advice and information on legal, financial, health and housing rights.
How do we help?

Emergency Shelter
For safety reasons temporary accommodation is only offered to women outside the Borough of Wandsworth. If you are from Wandsworth we can give you emergency accommodation for one night. Staff will then refer you to the appropriate agencies the next day.
Temporary Accommodation (Refuges)
You and your children may stay in a refuge for up to one year. The accommodation is furnished and decorated to a good standard.
First Stage Accommodation and Support
When you first arrive you will usually stay in our ‘first stage’ property. Here you will have your own room and share the kitchen, living room and bathroom.
During this early stage staff will help you to assess your individual situation and make informed choices about your future. They will devise an individual support plan with you taking into account your particular practical and emotional needs.
Second Stage Accommodation
If you decide to stay at WWA you may be moved to an independent self-contained flat in a shared house, if and when a space becomes available.
Staff will continue to support you both practically and emotionally during your stay at a second stage house.

We have a full range of services to support your child. Please click on this link to read about how we support your child.
